Ok, my affinity with 6 SIR Maju Camp Support Company Military Police has come to an end with the commencement of ORD Parade and ORD Dinner.

For the day of the parade, the whole day i was busy running here and there getting the big shots to sign my clearence form so that i could leave the camp.
I was busy until the start of the parade, around 5pm+

We were waiting at a training shack before the parade. And i was thinking of all the good times and bad times i had in this camp with my mates... my eyes become teary and i hav to stop the tears. Well, i hav encountered alot of things here... met a lot of ppl here.. work of a alot of ppl here.. Sleep here .. Eat here wateva.. They are the good memories....

Okok now comes the ORD Dinner.

Well, i guess its the work of the beer and red wine... we all are having a gd gd gd time down there and this is the 1st time i ever enjoy myself in a DINNER....
They try to make me drunk.... but in the end i never and its Cheow who was drunk... And me and Ang have to send him home...

This batch of guys... they are great. Although this 1 year and 6 months is short, but then, this is the most impt experience and time in my 2 years of NS.

Screwed up my CS1102 Data Structures and Algorithms - Placement test which would actually exempts my from the module.

The materials from NYP is really limited and i was stunned when i was flipping the papers today.

20 MCQs, and none of them i could do... i could only try my best to guess...

Down, was really down when i walked out of the seminar room and to the bus stop.
But this taught me a lesson, it motivates me to study harder than what i have done in polytechnic.

Haven't been catching up on the few dramas that i was actually watching for the last few months.

Dramas like "Rolling Love", "Last Friends", "Absolute Boyfriend", "My Boss My Hero".....

Then now come out "Blue Code" and many more dramas...

I have really been busy with my duties at Changi Airport and the moving of my house.
And, guess what, i saw some hk actors at the changi airport while i doing my duties.... They are Ma De Zhong, Chen Fa La and a few more who came to promote their hk drama at bugis junction and IMM on sat and sun respectively.

Ok my deployment have ended and now i'm waiting for disruption. Time to clear my offs and leaves!

I'll be starting a new blog...

Was posting the new post in my new home.

Have a long day moving the stuffs from my formal house to my current house.
It took around 4 hours+ in total, with the fact that the lift in my new block only stops at level 1, 6 and 11 currently.

And i am living in the 4th floor. So can you imagine we have to carry all the furnitures and boxes down to level 4 from level 6?

Exhausted. Dirty. Thirsty. Hungry.

But finally we settled in. Now its the time to unpack my stuffs.
But, i booking in later on and only book out this sat. hmmmmmmm

I still can't get this bloody $400.

1st try, IPPT.
4 seconds in 2.4km run to a gold, $200.
1 second $50.

2nd try, Combat Shoot 1.
I have problems with my rifle and i have 16 bullets left.
And my team need just 1 or 2 more hit to get the $200.
Marksman criteria: 80%.
My team total score: 79%.

3rd try, Combat Shoot 2.
Time to get the $200 if u cant get it in combat shoot 1.

Stupid. Who go raised the marksman criteria to 85%.

My team total score: 84.5%
My individual score: 40 out of 40 (100%)

Am i unlucky or what?

Took the last IPPT for my NSF life.
Personal best record for Standing BroadJump was set to 239cm instead of my previous record of 234cm. And i only attempted once for it.
Personal best record for 2.4km is still 9:48min.
In this IPPT i only managed 11:19min.

IN the end i still achieved SILVER.
Although i didn't really train for a long long time.
So from BMT till now still Silver, can't reach GOLD....

Adidas Warehouse Sale @ Expo

Went to Expo this morning @ 11am for the Adidas Warehouse Sale.
Unluckily the items on sale are not as nice as yesterday.

But still i manage to hoot on something.

Total i only spent $62 on a pair of Street Soccer Boots, 1 shoe bag and 1 water bottle.

I would have got myself a pair of field soccer boots. But then i think, nowadays i don't really play field soccer... so no point for that.

After the Expo trip we went to suntec, raffles city, citylink, Taka, Fareast, Paragon, Heeren, Cineleisure, Wheelock which we went in Adidas outlets for a record of 8 times and we didn't bought anything from there!
How do u patron 8 different outlets and never got urself anything?
Anyway spent too much $$ these few weeks but i still got some items to buy such as Adidas Jacket, a bag for school usage, perhaps a pair of jeans and others, which although i might not need but shopping wif this batch of guys will trigger ur urge.

Was watching this drama "Last Friends" that is actually airing in Japan right now.
It talks about the lives of 5 people and the things happened between them (Domestic Violence, Lesbian and love).

Hate the part where Masami was been abused by her bf ... fark that guy.. zzz.

Recently something happened in my family...
As the moving of house actually caused the bad relationship between my dad and my brother... my sis-in-law actually try to speak to my mum.. but my dad interrupted and quarreled with her in a loud manner..
Well, i can say my bros and me was not really in gd relationship wif my dad..
He did everything in his way and doesn't listen to anyone.
He's not a good example to us...

But then, he still our dad.. this is the truth.

Labour day + 1 day off.... End of a long weekend for me..
For the past 2 weeks we haven't stay in camp for 5 straight days...

And now.... for 2 weeks... we are staying 5 days per week for our combat training.
Long time we never stay in camp together as a platoon for 5 days...
Long time we never went out for night out together as a platoon....

ORD or disrupt is really coming... i can smell it... back to student life.. have to adapt to a new environment.

Watched Iron man... not really so good as what i expected.
Although watched "Awake" which is quite gross as there are scenes where you can see human heart and the slicing of your flesh.

Finished "Dragon Zakura" and "Nodame Cantabile" these 2 dramas.
Comment... hmm.. veri nice. Nodame Cantabile is veri funny.

One of my platoon mates dislocated his elbow during our soccer session... And the funnier part is he injured while going to pick up the ball... omg..

Have alot of things that wanted to buy... but no $$... poor me..

Finally the 2 weeks off have ended... Or should i say unfortunately?

Well have been fully using these 2 weeks to hang out with my friends and also watched a lot of dramas.

Completed Hana Yori Dango Season 1 & 2, Teppan Shoujo Akane, Nobuta Wo Produce, First Kiss, Sapuri and finally Dream Again. 7 Dramas in 14 days. Wooh, quite a success.

Anyway real soon enough i'll be clearing my off again... its so much that i dunno whether i would cleared them before i ORD....

Was hanging out with army pals for these 2 weeks.
We went steamboat session, watched "Untraceable" & "Definitely, Maybe", dinner at Carnivore @ vivo and also dinner at Arab Street. Then we went drinking session at Clarke Quay (Cafe Iguana & later on Arena).

Carnivore is super expensive and you'll get easily full by all the types of meats.
Even we went on a weekday it cost each of us $50.

Then we also went to a small cosy restaurant at Arab Street. There are this particular smoking thing call Sheeshak (if i didn't rem wrongly) which got different types of flavours but they are harmless and unaddictive.

Met up with them at Clarke Quay for drinking session.
Dinner at Yoshinoya with law and blitz before we headed to our first venue which is the Cafe Iguana.

I vomitted. I really vomitted. But the thing is, i've not even started drinking any alcoholic drinks yet. The reason behind it? CHILI SHOT.
My fren, MR YAO, treated me to this particular drink call "CHILI SHOT".
Its spicy, its hot, its unforgivable, its scary, its really... my 1st and last try.

I had it with one quick shot. After the thing down my throat, i felt the spice and the hotness in my mouth. I drank ice water and try to compress the spice.
After 10 to 20 seconds, the hotness in my mouth is gone.
The scary part is, you will feel the hotness in your.... stomache....
Its really very uncomfortable... and after 5 to 10min of fighting against it, i gave up. I went to the toilet and vomitted.

There came Hakim, our next contestant for the CHILI SHOT.
He drank it, and his eyes turned red within 10 seconds.
He struggled with the thing in the his stomache with alot of expression from his face and alot of sound from him. In the end, he won. He never puke.

Heard from MR YAO that he got 1 friend vomitted within 5 seconds after drinking the CHILI SHOT. Looks like i'm better uh?

Anyway after vomitting i felt better and continue the drinking (not the CHILI SHOT) with the guys at the ARENA.

最近看了满多的日剧。
如 "Tears For You", "Say Hello For Me" 还有 "Kurosagi".
都是不错的剧情。

还有三个台剧还没看完。斗牛要不要，恶作剧之吻2 和公主小妹。
但是我还是比较喜欢日剧。
台剧太过直接，搞笑的部份也比较多。

好了是时候说说我的工作了。
四月四号开始我将会放假两个礼拜!

我们的 Sergeants 都 ORD 了。
现在是新人来接他们的班。

老实说，还真舍不得他们。
他们很尽责，友善，有什么问题他们都会帮你解决。
但是，这证明了什么?

我只剩下四个月就开学了!!!
说真的时间真的好快。
快得我都不知道一月和二月到哪里去了。

Watched a short drama "Romeo And Juliet".
Only 5 episodes, although short but its not dragging.

Watched this drama because the main actress is Nagasawa Masami, the 20years old actress who stared in "Proposal Daisakusen". She's only 20, yet she already casted in so many dramas.
She's cute... lol..

Still waiting for Proposal Daisakusen Special, where the story will continue from where the series ended.

Alot of dramas waiting for me. Yet i don't really have the time to finish them all!
And i'll be back to fri-book-out sun-book-in schedule from 1st April onwards. Even shorter time for me!

1 month later March will be gone. And April will be here.

Hmm, closer to the start of my uni life. But i seems like not having the interest to study. NS life is although boring, but then its quite a free life. Not having to think about assignments, projects, presentations etc.

Anyway, my juniors in my camp has already arrived. So me and my fellow mates will be stepping down soon and enjoy our camp life.
Its been a long time since we ever have our first parade, platoon PT and many others together.

Not in good shape recently. The bad flu i having for past few days is really bringing me down. I hate it when i have block nose and sneeze non-stop. Luckily now is at recovering mode already.

Countdown. 5 more months to be out of the camp.

看来搬家是不可避免的。我老豆没跟我们商量就开始行动了。
应该会在九月前就离开三巴旺了。
虽然不方便，但是这里安静。
我本人不喜欢吵闹，不喜欢人太多的地方。
但是，既然他要搬，我们也不能说 "不" 吧?
三巴旺虽然偏僻，交通也不方便。但是，这里安静，平静。

情人节这天恺磷约了我和世耀共进晚餐。
我们在 Thomson Plaza 吃 KFC。
然后又在 starbucks 喝咖啡。
听了他们诉说了种种工作上的乐与气。
现在想想，我的兵友们其实还不错。
人与人的相处还真是千变万化啊!

又听到了老爸在报纸或传单上找房子了。
他就是不了解我们的想法，我们根本就不想搬家。
我们从来没有在一个地方住过超过八年。
他就是以为他能从这个买卖中赚取一些钱。
失业了却不想做工，只想做生意。

好在老哥有在做工，我也能照顾自己。

I worked part time as a loan shark, so i arrived around 1:15pm at Hougang Ave 1 to get back some $$ from this guy call MaoMao.

He opened the door for me

I searched his house for valuable items and i found 3 people hiding in the storeroom! We took a shot over there.

After the rescue for these 3 people, i think they are been brain-washed! Why?
This particular person tot she's a minnie mouse!

Then, i discovered a valuable item and start to fight with MaoMao over it!

We are hungry after the fight. There came this yu sheng.

Lastly, we settled our scores on the mahjong table. Instead of collecting money back from MaoMao i lost to him...

Recently my dad talks about moving house again. But this time round there's objection from me, my bro and my mum.
This will like be the 4 or 5th time already.
And because he just wan to hav the profit of selling this current and buying a cheaper one. Well, i'm quite settled already in sembawang... dun wish to move again.
And also, he's jobless for months and still not looking for job...
Luckily we still can handle.. as me, my mum and my bros are working...

Was flipping through Graduation Prom Night photos for Secondary School.
Only one thing that come to my mind at that moment.
"I was once so young"

Come to think of it, when you are young you hope that you will grow up.
But when you are at a certain age, you will feel like going back to the past.
Nothing beats memories.

体力下降。是时候该努力把自己锻炼一番了。
不然我的 soc 就很难及格了。

Not really a good day on tuesday.
We were told only on monday that we are going to take ippt test on tuesday.
And we just ran 3km monday morning.
So, i just gotten a PASS for ippt because that idiot who keep faulting my platoon in the "chin-up" station.
Was unable to jump far also. Feel legs trembling while on the mat.
Can't run also. Gotten the worst result after i enter army.
11.35min! Haha looks like its time for me to train.

After ippt we went to "The Cage" (The cage soccer court at Kallang) for platoon cohesion. Quite nice the court but... in the end i twisted my ankle while going for a interception when there is no need for that.
AHHHH... its really painful and now i still feel the pain... Can't walk properly and obviously can't run.

Going for deployment! 4 days work 2 days off (actually 5 days) until December.
I think this is a good time for me to start training for my SOC and ippt. Just clear it once and for all and i will be a free man!!!!

Has been a wonderful 1 month for me.
I feel like that i have already ORD...
But its getting to the end of my holidays..
I cleared all my Leaves and most of my OFF days. I think this month i only in camp for around 4 days.
The most enjoyable of course is playing field soccer with my platoon.
Its the first time i score 6 goals in a game. And i really have so much fun in the game throughout the 90min.

Anyway didn't do much for the holiday except watching dramas and playing games.

My dream time table for each day activities (I think of that)
Note: Not in camp
8am ~ Wake up
8:10am ~ Breakfast
9:30am ~ Field or Street Soccer with friends
12:30pm ~ Lunch after a good bathe
1pm ~ Afternoon Nap
3:30pm ~ Computer Time (Either watching Drama or play game)
6pm ~ Dinner Time
7pm ~ Television Time
10pm ~ Supper with friends
12am ~ Lights off
And the cycle goes on and on for each day. (unless stated otherwise)

Too lazy to update for the past one month plus.
Anyway, my 2 platoon commanders have been posted out. Quite relieved as actually i don't really quite admire them or what.

My Eng Chik, who always only care about our IPPT and SOC. Never ever i heard if he cares about how we feel. The only thing he like to say is ... "Our battlion appreciates what you are doing".
Then my other PC, we really don't understand him sometimes. He could suddenly treat you very very nice but suddenly he can be nasty to you.
I still remember the first Stand-By-Bed he given to us when we first stepped into Maju Camp. It lasted 2 hours where he keep pointing out errors and ask us to do again and again.

Watched Corner love and i can admit that its one of my favourite drama of all times. Now watching Mars (Zhan Shen) and the next one should be Magician Hairstylist.

Exactly 365 days ago i am in Tekong.
Well, 1 year of Army life have passed. Experienced gained, new friends aquired.
And, the end of 2007 is coming near.
Its really scary how time flies.. 2008 i'll be 23 year old.
They say that army is boring, tough, get on your nerves.
Yes, its a fact but then when people looking back on what they've done, i somehow enjoy my army life.

Watched the whole series of Snow Queen (Xue Zhi Nu Wang)
I just don't like the ending.
How come Korean dramas must have a sad ending always?

8 months old

The cute baby Louis. He's already 8 months old.
Time passes really fast isn't it.
And soon i will reach 1 year of NS; 11 more months to NUS.

1 more month and my deployment will end.
Will be in camp... trying to clear SOC and IPPT.
I really hates SOC and want to clear it once and for all.
But then, will have to try harder as i gained weight during the deployment.
Hmmmm.....

My computer is playing mind games with me.

First, it has problem starting up the windows.
Secondly, it failed to even boot up.
Thirdly, when i was thinking of getting a new one, the computer is up again.

Sometimes i feel like throwing it on the floor, and buy a new one.
Its 3 and 8 months old. It's specification are outdated.
It broke down expectedly when i need to use it.
I was really thinking hard.... should i get a new one?

Was really busy. This 4 days work 2 days off deployment is really getting me tired and sometimes i lost count of today's date.
When i was doing duty at the airport, i saw many ppl flying off....
I.. want to go somewhere to relax... to temporarily put down all the work on me, to forget all the worries and just have fun.
AHHH, but then, I should not be saying all these....
I should face whatever coming and not running somewhere else...

7 days of leave and off from 12 - 18th July.
Its like a long time since i have my 7 days peacefully as a civilian.
Haha....

Anyway watched quite a number of dramas these few weeks...
Long Vacation, Love Generation, Heaven's Coin, GTO, Beauty or Beast, Attention Please, Ace Wo Nerae.....

I think next up will be Attack No.1...

Also, spent $140 on a 320 GB hard-disk.
Going to get a 1 GB ram also....

Temporarily skin before i going to work on one.
Today is 21st June, which is 17 days after my birthday.
It has been already 2 weeks passed........
And i never expect the surprise that my buddies gave me today...

We were eating at Fish & Co........
At first there was 1 bunch of army guys (opps i forgot this term also applies to me) who also celebrating one of their friends birthday over there.
So there was the Birthday song and their friend accepted.

After a while, another birthday song was heard. I never really noticed until the waitress put the cake on my table. I was like alot of question marks "Eh? Today my birthday meh?"

Then i realised.... so... the buddies did it....
Really.... this is the first time that i am so shocked and surprised....
Never lied, really first time....

Its like half a month i disappear from the world of blogging....
But really that's nothing interesting about my life in camp these 2 weeks...
Since i cleared my soc.... everyday like play soccer and sleep... i really think i am lucky to clear my soc...

Now that the deployment have started, we can't play soccer in camp anymore.
And really when yesterday we are going back to camp in the bus, I could see my house from far.... i was like... my house was only 10 min walk from the deployment area.... yet i have to go back to camp first before i can book out.....
Ahhhhhh!!!!

Ok, 4 months of deployment. I really think i could get fat easily for these 4 months.
Anyway since the day i come 6sir my weight have been going up... What really happen sia...

Finally cleared soc at 9:59 min.
But then i'm not really glad with the results although i did not try my best after the obstacles part.

First time get tased by a taser gun. The feeling is so bad that i would never wanted to get tased again. Just can't explained how the feeling is.

First time trying to donate blood.
Done the paperwork, interview with the Doctor, blood test....
Then when came to the part when they trying to find the blood vessels on my arms, they say "sorry we cannot find your vessel, you have to be rejected"

So now i know, i wont get the chance to donate blood.

Back in camp for 1 month. So shall be booking out on Friday evening for 3 weeks.
Today was given off until sunday because of the deployment. And they still owe us 4 off days because of the public holidays and some compensation.

I failed SOC today by 1 min. Timing is 11min.
Quite a improvement i can say. Last time i took in BMT is 12:30min.
Really looking forward to clear the SOC.......

Well during these few weeks were thinking alot of things while i'm in deployment.
Was thinking alot of "If's" and "What if"...
but then, its really stupid for me to do that.

Turned operation ready on Wednesday morning. Around 2+am they turn us out and we went for a 8km route march and end with a parade. Then thursday morning ran 2.4km with soc attire... a training for soc.... haiz..

There's some conflicts in my platoon..... racism... i sensed a weight of it in the conflicts.
Why couldn't they live in harmony? Its really a pointless conflict which i think they'll never understand it. Anyway, i'm not going to be in it cause in my point of view, i feel that having a friend is better than having a foe. Its easier to love and like rather to hate.

Doing deployment now for 1 month until 2nd May. So basically i am on a 2 days work 2 days off shift. And the most thing i love about deployment... Freedom!!

Anyway, just now was flipping those old dated logs that i have during my IRC life.
Haha, really missed those old days when i saw myself so childish in the conversation, always "............" or "lolx" or "zzzzzzzzzzz" or "lalalaLalALalala".
And the conversation with my buddies are always so funny... cause we are so free that time that we really find ourselves out of topic to talk.
Hmmm, this really makes me feel that.... i am getting old..... no longer can do wateva i want.... I have responsibilities, dream, and many things that i think i should do.

Going deployment soon in April. Will be scheduled 2 days work 2 days off.
Then in May we will be resting in our camp until June, which we start 4 months of deployment again.

Have to wait until May then can try for Gold for my IPPT again.

4 Seconds. I missed my IPPT Gold Medal just by 4 seconds in the 2.4km run.
9:48min. It seems so near yet so far. My sgts ask me to retake again this coming friday.
One of them still told me i wasted 1 sec $25. ($100 for silver, $200 for gold. I missed 4 secs, each second $25).
Other stations still ok. 10 pull ups, 234cm sbj, 10.2s shuttlerun, 41 sit ups.

Failed SOC trial test. This coming wednesday its the real test but i dont think i will pass.
Last friday we have a deployment exercise in camp. Its a overnight exercise and we can only go back bunk for 3 hours after a 6 hours duty.
Quite shag, and we slept on the road just like nobody cares.

I want a long break!!! Can I?

Tough week. Really a tough week.
Booked in on sunday with a minor fever. Bad start to the week.
Monday then recovered from the fever, glad that there isn't any physical training on monday.
Tuesday morning went for SAR21 IMT, and in the afternoon SOC.
Cleared the SOC 3 times and can't carry on for the 4th one (Just recovered from fever u noe).
Wednesday went for ATP. I notice quite alot of ppl dun really clear whats abt it.
For this ATP, we have to fire our SAR21 from 300m, then run down to 200m within 40secs and take up another firing position, after firing again run down to 100m within 40secs for another firing position. After the fire have to run down again to 50m within 20secs for the last firing position. Very tiring and i tot i will do well for the test as i did quite well for the practice. But then, i did badly for the day shoot test and night shoot test, which i have to come back on thursday to try again.

Thursday, went back for ATP again because i failed the shooting the day before. First time took the day test got 14/24. This result couldn't make me pass because of my lousy night shoot result which is only 4/16 (total add up 18/40).
So no choice i went for the 2nd try. This time round i got 17/24 and total 21/40. Yes! Finally passed!
I done the stupid rundown firing for 4 times and finally i got it. Really very tired sia.
Really thought i can try to achieve marksman but i have failed myself again. Running and shooting really isn't a easy thing to do.
And of cause, the tireness really did a part of it (imagine 2 days sleeping around 2am+ and wake up at 6am+).

Friday, whole afternoon and night we have to navigate in the Mandai area.
When we got back to the camp in the night, all of us tired like hell. Eyes closing any moments and the aches of our legs really really did a contribution to my tough week.
I never feel so tired before sia...... -_-
Ok last week to go before deployment periods start and i shall go on 2 days work 2 days off basis!!!

("300" is quite a good show for the fighting scenes, "The messengers" is actually not so scary)

Has been really a long week for me although i am in camp for 4 days this week.
Tuesday morning went for a 6km run.... Den afternoon SOC...
Wednesday went to a compass course for the whole day and also night.
Fell into a whole while walking in the night without light...
Thursday have some practical lessons in the morning and early afternoon, by which a 7km run in the late afternoon.
Friday is not so tough.
Saturday, 10km run in East Coast Park.

I think for this 2 weeks i have covered around 35km in total.... for running..
Not mentioning the compass course where i have to climb slopes....
My leg is worning out....... -___-
I want a rest!!! A proper 1 week rest!!! lolx..

Anyway, just bought new handphone today...
Motorola Maxx V6, better version of V3 with 2 megapixels camera...

It have been some time since i last update.
23/02/07 - Graduated from Military Police Basic Course. Went to Chavron Ballroom for the graduation dinner.
24/02/07 - Reported to Maju Camp via transport provided by them at Mowbray Camp. For the whole morning until early afternoon we have to learn how to handle new weapon, Semi-Auto Weapon(SAW). Quite a easy weapon to master.
Evening - Met up with my buddies to see off Louis Poh, who is going back to Australia the next morning.

26th Feb - Officially become part of Support Company as MP Platoon in 6 SIR, Maju Camp. No longer a trainee.

27th Feb - Booked out around 7pm. We are having a games day next morning at East Coast Park as we have to go there by ourselves.

28th Feb - Booked in at night.

3rd March - Booked out in the morning after a 5km run. Only need to book in on monday night as this is a off-day compensated to us because we reported on saturday last week, which supposingly should be on monday.

See, i really feel very busy and tired. My schedule now is so tight and my training is quite tough, and i have to endure this for around 1 month until i go for deployment(2days work 2 days off).
Come on, how long i have to wait till i ORD!????

Just took my ippt test few days back. Slack abit but i still obtained my silver~!
9.8sec for shuttlerun, 42 situps, 8 pull ups, 234cm standing broadjump, and lastly, 10:19min for 2.4km run.
I want to train already, i want to get gold!

Went to NP yesterday with kh and louis. Kh want to enroll so i went along with him.
While he's doing his stuff, those staffs over there keep eyeing on me and louis, asking if we need any help in any courses or what. I was thinking it feels like the school is selling their courses not educating. And, maybe me and louis don't look old enough that's why they keep coming for us. Oh mine, i've already graduated -_-.
Anyway, after that we went down to town as the both of them wanted to shop for new year clothes. Nothing much catches my eye so i went home empty handed.

Ok another bad news, i was posted to 6 SIR after i pass out from my training course in MP. Will be attending a 4 - 6 weeks Advance Infantry Training before become operational-ready. After which i heard that we'll be doing in a 2days work 2days off basis. Sounds not bad, but then during that 4-6 weeks we hav to do soc, session training and other infantry stuffs which i don't really like.... physically demanding...
Its ok, just get past the left over of 1year and 6months to ORD!!!!

Outbreak of fever in my company. After we came back from Tekong, from monday to fri there's total of 20+ fever cases. Even i have a slight slight fever when i book out 2 days back.
Well, i think its the doing of the division of mosquitoes as really, everywhere u could see them flying around.

I think i going to get psp next week after bring tempted by my friend to buy together. Was actually wanted to get it long time ago, just that nothing to trigger the action.

Few weeks more to pop from MP.... Wonder what is up there for me after that...

Another bad thing is that we are there for 1 utimate mission.

Its 2007. Another year ended just like that and add to the worst is that i am performing my guard duties on the last day of 2006. While everyone is having fun outside counting down, i am there in my camp's rest room, watching countdown vivocity on ch5.
Aiya, since its over don't mention it already.
Well, good piece of news is that i am officially upgraded to uncle status last tuesday. My new born nephew is post-christmas gift to us.
Lastly, so what's my resolution for the year of 2007?
Hm, i just want to get through the NS life fast and quick and hope i can slack thru the NS life after i post out from MP.
I'm poor, so i ask to be rich.
I'm busy, so i ask to have more off days.

Back from my Camp. Well i really want to say that i have to accept where i am now although i prefer being a specialist. They always say that you can change your fate, but sometimes the decision really doesn't lies with you.
Yes my morale is quite low now... but i will try to buck up myself.
They always say MP is quite slack but i can say u are wrong... we still have to go for field camp in Tekong and many things more.
Ok i shall stop talking abt this because its actually classified.
Good thing is i get to book out every fri night... in civilian clothes~ hoho..
Anyway xmas is coming, meaning this year will end soon....
Time really flies... its going to be 2007...

Was listening to some songs.... And some memories flash back in my head.
I mean, human is really a strange thing.
I suddenly think back of the days when i start working in Popular with kaihoe, jiawei. Really, now think back they are really very relax and memorable. Everyday just need to report for work and no need to think about anything. $$ la, our future la, troubles or what ever shit.
Even at work we also can have fun, enjoy ourselves etc.
Really, i really treasure my time working there with both of them. Although its a short period of time when kaihoe being transferred out of there, but really, sometimes with him i really enjoy his stupid jokes and accompany. Same goes to Jiawei, always di siao him with the girls working in CD rama... haha..
In the end i was the last one to leave there, meeting alot of new members.
What to say about human? I think "strange" is the word that described best of them.

POP loh...... 3 months of PTP + BMT finally came to an end....
Although there are tough times but there are fun times also...
I think i will miss my section and my platoon....
Anyway, the day after pop i have fever... and its a high fever at 39 deg.
I even faint outside my room and freak my family out.....
I have never faint before in my life.... this is my first time...
now i feeling better after resting on bed and taking medicine...

POP!!! Just 48hours more and i'll out of my company line! Out of Tekong!
Yes, 3 months passed and BMT is going to end!
Anyway, this week just took my SOC, BAC, Games Day and 24km route march.
Cleared the SOC in 12min (which the time should be 10:30min).
Went thru that Basic Assault Course(BAC) which we have to fight and leopard crawl + back crawl on that pool of mud water.
Games Day which there is 5 games we competing with other companies.
I participated in the human obstacles (got 5 sub exercises in this game and i am in the 3 man 4 legs) and we got 2nd!!!
Overall our company got 2nd!!! Cool!
24km route march seems tough but we all endured it!!!!
And yes, i actually reach my goal of running 2.4km in 9:57min!!
In the last post i was not sure of the timing... but then i really did it~~
Although there's no more ippt test for now but i would like to get gold timing (9:45min)
Somehow i feel, i'm at the peak of my fitness...

Took my final IPPT today. Achieved my aim of getting a silver from the start of PTP.
Results are 45 sit ups, 225cm SBJ, 10.4s shuttlerun, 8 pull ups and lastly, 2.4km.
2.4km run i'm not sure of the timing because it wasn't announced yet. But, i think the timing will be roughly below 10:15min which is again a improvement.
Although can't run under 10min but i think i've done my best. So no regrets.
Really push myself very hard.
Now, the most scariest thing is, SOC.

2 weeks more and i will be seperated from my platoon mates, from my bunk.
Anyway, this week i went for the sit-test from monday to wednesday.
Same thing, outfield for 3 days without bathe and have to eat that combat ration.
This time round it was actually quite relax and 3 days passed without any problem.
Went for 16km long march yesterday and it was also no problem at all.
Maybe i was at the back of the platoon singing together with some of my mates.
That will actually lessen my burden and i wont go and think it is very tough.
2 weeks left, ippt and soc is what we left for BMT.
Really i have something to say, NS is not as bad as what you think.

Another week has passed. This week i have went for the Hand grenade throw.
First time and maybe the only time that i have ever thrown a live grenade.
Its the SFG87 and the impact is really quite big.
And today i have passed my ippt cat test~
Broke my record in the 2.4km run.
Last time i took is 11:12min and now shortened to 10:31min...
My target now is under 10min....
i nearly got my silver but i need to do 8 pull ups instead of 6
and also 225cm for sbj instead of 221cm

Field Camp is over. 7 days of out field without good sleep.
Really, the combat ration really taste like dunno what. Now i really think the food in cookhouse
is good after i tasted the green packet in the combat ration.
First day eating the green packet i feel like vomitting... zzz
Anyway now i left with soc, ippt, sitest and handgrenade throw which is tomolo.
One month to POP!!!!

Field Camp. The most important event in BMT phase and it lasts for 7 days. I'm sure i'm going to get thru this shit. No handphone, no bathe, no bed, no good food.
It will be 7 days in the jungle.
Cannot book out this weekend because of field camp. Only booking out next Saturday.
BUT, after field camp will be more relax already.
Left with SOC, Sitest and Ippt.
Live range i was hoping for a marksman but never get it... because of the night range.
After Sitest and SOC, i going to POP!!!!
Getting out of Tekong, no more cookhouse... no more fast craft...
Hmm... but if i going for Sispec... that will be different story....
Will be away until 4th November.... You wont get to contact me...

Army life. I have been in this kind of life for the past 5 weeks... I can say that i have adapted to the life over there. Every morning 5am woke up do exercise(5bx) etc etc.
Recently have taken my 2nd ippt cat test again. (cat = category)
For the 1st ippt cat test i have 35 sit ups, 0 pull up, 197cm sbj, 10.3s shuttle run and 11:44min 2.4km run.
But for the 2nd ippt cat test i have 43 sit ups, 2 pull up, 225cm sbj, 10.3s shuttle run and 11:12min 2.4km run.
The time difference between the 2 ippt cat test is only 2 weeks.... that means i improved quite alot after 2 weeks.....
Next target i am going is less than 11min for 2.4km run..... i wan 10min+.... haha...

Ok, this week i going for live range... meaning using real rifle to shoot targets.... First time in my life using a real rifle... eXcited MAN!!!
Then next week after the holidays i going for field camp..... 7 days out in the jungle!!!

Book out day is always the best day. Indeed it is.
After 2 weeks in Tekong doing my job as a man, i tasted how army life is.
Its really a different world from Civilian. Everything we do need permission.
But then, still i have to endure... endure... haha... its not really that bad anyway..
they say army food sucks.... but i think they are ok... not bad sometimes...
Anyway i have some time before booking in on sunday... shall elaborate my first 2 weeks over there in the Important Event Section.

I suppose this is the last post before i am on my way to Tekong.
Went Ice-Skating with my popular Mates on Sunday. Long long time never go and luckily still able to skate. There wasn't much changes with the place down there.
After the skating we went for dinner at a Thai Restaurant down there. And then, to play bowling.... At first i thought shit... dunno how to play...
Not bad, got 2 strikes and got above 50 points for the 2 games LoLx... last time always throw the drain...

Today, just went to Marina Bay Steamboat with my buddies.... and then play free table soccer as SR knows how to cheat....
Went for a pool session before we left for home.

Well, very sian and boring... going to be away from home for 2 weeks.... i miss my computer... i miss my dog... and i miss my BED!!!!!.... my air con... my room.......... -_-

Met up with Kailin, Harry, Louis, Haydn and Suying for a gathering at Bugis. Went tcc to have our dinner and chat. After which Haydn left to meet SR, so we decided to walk to Esplanade.
After we reached Esplanade Louis suggested to find a place to chill. So we went over to Clarke Quay.
We settled down in one of the pub call Hooters. So we ordered beers, chicken wings and fries.
Then we left the place around 2am which is after the match "England vs Andora" which i am watching over there.
I decided to stay over at Louis house for the night and went home the next morning around 10am.
Actually this is the first time i have drink with this batch of buddies.... haha

Was watching her dvd "Love Cook Tour 2006" at Osaka-Jo Hall on 9th of May 2006. Very very nice and i am going to find another dvd of her which is the Love Jam Tour 2005 i think.
A very talented singer who create her own songs.... and she is very good in Piano!! I really like the piano version of Daisukidayo.... Too bad i can't play piano... if not i sure go and learn this song...

Ended. The collaboration between me and popular ended yesterday.
Well 3 years and 8 months are quite long.... and i stayed for so long although sometimes i wanted to change job....
Text Dept, Storeroom, Cashier, Eng Dept, being changed to so many depts... but i think most enjoyable will be in Eng Dept as i can roam freely... other than trapping in the cashier...haha..

Ok jobless now.... and will be accepting another job next thursday... the location are quite far... have to take a boat... Yes.. it is Tekong... -_-
I think no problem staying there for 2 weeks.....
but i'm worried for the food..... LOL....

Yesterday after work went to eat supper with some of my collegues.
They are SweeCai, Wenlong, William, Kelly, Lian, LiChun, Jenny, Meipeng, Leong and KimTee.
First time having a meal with 2 supervisors and 1 manager. Of cause, this become a excuse for them to pay the bill haha.
As they are treating the whole gang, we decide to minimize the group.
We went to this small restaurant(Or a small coffeeshop?) called "Xue Yu Chun" (CodFish Village) which the name suggest their main dishes are CodFish.
We ordered 1 pot of Curry CodFish, CodFish Tofu, Salad CodFish, Steam CodFish with CaiPo, Xiao Jie Lan, Special CodFish Soup and Fried Chicken Wings.
This meal is really just in time, as my ulcers are gone!!! YESH!

Mute. I understand how they feel when they can't show ppl what they want to say.
Yesterday i have a bad day. I have a ulcer, or maybe 2? Its deep inside my mouth and it prevented me from speaking and eating. When i open my jaws i will feel the pain.
Moreover, i have to work on that day.
My good collegues, all knew that i cannot speak, they are so good that they keep making fun of me. Good! You all will get it once i recovered.
Talking on my meal, omg...
Lunch i ordered a plate of bee hoon as i know i can't eat rice with this pain.
It takes me around 20min just to eat 3/4 of the plate... Haiz...
Dinner no choice, ordered a bowl of porridge and i finished all. Can't bite but only swallowed.

Really very inconvenient. When a supplier delivered his goods to the store, i tried to shorten my words and ask them to take return goods. AHHH... its really making a bad day for me.
Its ok, i going to rest... going to let it recover.... and eat whateva i want when i'm back to NORMAL!!!

Just back home after a whole day work and also a movie with louis and harry. After my work at 10pm they called and ask if i want to meet them. So i met them at amk and catch a movie "Click". Well this movie briefly is about the main cast Micheal is putting all his time into his work and neglecting his family. Once when he was shopping for a universal remote control he actually met one guy "Moddy", who gave him a universal remote control. When Micheal started to understand the way that the universal remote control do (which can do alot of things like forwarding the time, pause the time etc) he started to abuse the remote. He skipped alot of things such as fast forwarding to the time when he is promoted, skipped the quarrel with his wife. IN the end as the remote has a memory function that will automatically skip certain events which Micheal previously skipped, Micheal skipped until the day where he is dying. This is the most touching part where he get away from the life-extension machine in the hospital and ran to his family. The conversation part is really touching.
In the end when he thought he is dying, he woke up in the department store where he went to purchase the universal remote. So what? He experienced what he have done if he has neglected his family and he start to change. A Good Ending huh?

Too long never update my blog... so i decided to change the format of the blog which are similar to my own webpage format. In this way i do not need geocities to help me host my website... and those annoying yahoo advertisement are out of my way!
Now waiting for going Tekong to do my part as a man. Was working until 27th September before i quit my job in Popular. Its been 3 years plus since i joined Popular.... Met many customers... Met many Staffs... Its time that i left this place without regret. Learned alot of stuff during my 3 years reign. I never expect me to stay so long in this place... when i just joined on 13rd Jan 2003.
Ok when i quitted i will post the experiences i have during my 3 years and 8 months stay in popular. (Which i created a new page "Important Event" to record those events that are too long for reading such as my Hongkong Trip la, Thailand trip etc).
Today is 7th August, 1 month away from my Enlistment Date!!!!

Yesterday, which is a friday, Hong Jun Yang came to CD-Rama as a special appearance to promote his new album. As expected, a crowd of girls were there even before he arrived. SweeCai and me was station around the cashier counter to spread the crowd. So Hong Jun Yang arrived and he was in the cashier counter. He left after 15min. And yes, it was not good being a celebrity when you lost your freedom.
Brazil was out of World cup, so as England. So now the semi-finalists are Germany, Italy, Portugal and France.

Want to write, but don't know what to write and how to start. My big day of the year had passed and now i'm just waiting to be enlisted. Really, we must have target so that we have something to look forward to, to target at. Currently, other than working i have really nothing to spice on my life. I'm still plain waiting for 7th of September to come. Haha looks like holidays aren't a good thing also. When you are studying, you hope for holidays to come. Soccer. Chelsea have signed Shevcheko, Ballack, John Obi Mikel and now chasing for Roberto Carlos. Now its really like the 2nd Real Madrid where $$ is the most important factor, no longer the passion is put into it. Really, now players change clubs which let them earn rather than their passion for the soccer and the club.

20th June, Graduation Ceremony. I'll be receiving my diploma on that day but only can invite 2 guests into the hall. After this day that's over between me and Nyp. Really, time flies and 3 years have passed without noticing. 3 Years ago i was still wondering how's the life in Poly will be... haha.. and now... its all over.. a new step into life... my own life.....
Ok today was quite disappointed because of 2 things.... one is the number of my working days for next schedule... 12 days.... 12 days out of 28 possible working days.... hmmm... my rest days are even more than my working days... really.. i didn't request for that... I'll there for work not for rest... haiz... i wonder how come hire so many people suddenly...
2nd thing.... hmmm...... i think i'll keep a secret about that as i do not want anyone to know about it.... it will be kept confidential and safe... but really... hmmm.. haiz.. nvm..
13 days more to my own independence day... and 19 days to the kick off of World cup 2006!!
And lastly, 3 months plus to my enlistment date...

Today was a bad day. No, not for me but for a customer. In the morning when our shop was open for business, this uncle came to our shop from the entrance near the staircase. When he get past the cashier, he tripped over something and fell down on the floor. I went over to him and discovered he have some problem getting up. Therefore i asked wenxiang to bring a chair over and pulled him up together and let him sit on the chair to rest. I supposed he hurt his knee cap badly as he can't stand up. I asked if he need a ambulance or call his families to pick him up. But then, he just said that he need some rest will do. Therefore i went back to do my work while approaching him again and again to see if he need some help. In the end Meipeng went up to him and decided to call a ambulance.... I think the uncle really can't stand up at the point of time. So after some time the ambulance came and the nurses came to attend to him and try to put him on the wheelchair. Can see that his knee cap really hurts as he cried for pain when the nurses try to lift him up from the chair onto the wheelchair. After which the nurses sent him to the ambulance. Really, what a unlucky day for the uncle..... hope he'll be fine...

Finally got my enlistment Date..... Its abit late though.... 7th September.... That's 4 months plus later.... wow i can watch world cup.... i can work for 4 months....
But then... its still abit late.... some of my friends went in on June, July... haha...
Anyway, today is quite a bad working day.... Firstly the whole department only myself working.... its ok still can tahan.... but we met a customer that spoiled our day.....
Ok at first he came to us enquiry a book by this publication but was not sure about the title.... So i tried to help by checking the computer system and those files to see if we carry this title. In the end can't find and i went to search on my department shelves and also chinese department shelves... Still, no result. So i went to ask the customer if he bought it somewhere else and i checked with the outlet that he bought it from. During calling the outlet, he started to mumble.. "Such a big store cant find a book.... That time i went Borders they give me the answer in 10 mins.... now i already waited more than that... ". Yes i ignore that and let the customer talk to the Outlet thru the phone. So i went away trying to search for the book again.... When i come back he already finished the talk and still trying to find the book... I am sure that the outlet told him don't have.... Ok so again i try to call the outlet again but looking for the chinese department to see if the book is theirs. In the mean time again the customer came back and say again... "Still cannot find the book... i have waited for 20min... put urself in my shoe and you noe how am i feeling now... ". I keep quiet and spoke to the outlet to check if they REALLY have the book.... Den the customer getting impatient and our duty manager in-charge went up to him and understand the situation. In the end the outlet told us its impossible that the customer bought the book at their side cause they don't have the book more than 1 month ago... During that time the customer also complaining to our duty manager about the service and how Borders have done it so well wateva.... But then no choice we don't have so he left the place... (Ok so the problem is.... The customer is looking for a book with unconfirmed TITLE, and the 2nd thing is we don't carry anymore books from this publication... he said he bought it from the outlet tat we called.... Yes we both have wrong, but he dun even appreciate our efforts and not even a "Thank You" was said.... we were trying to find the book for him... yet this is what we get...)

So this is Customer Service. Your Effort will not be appreciate when u can't find the book. Haiz..... but nevermind... i already get used to this type of situation... Customer is always right..

Been working for these past 9 days without rest.... tired.... Anyway some piece of good news....
I was awarded Diploma of Engineering Informatics with Merit by NYP few days back when i received the news by Letter. And i will be receiving the award in the Graduation Ceremony in End June 2006.
I also received news from NTU about my application for Computer Engineering. Yes i was accepted by them.... So now i have to decide whether i should accept the offer from NUS or NTU, which most probably i will take up NUS.
Ok no more updates from me.... i will be busy working these few months...

Today suppose to rest at home but went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital with my family. My father was warded there yesterday as he complained that he found blood in his stools. As no reports are out yet yesterday my mum was worried about him. When we reached his ward he told us that the doctor just told him that he can be discharged. So what's the problem with him? Looks like its the high blood pressure pills that he took which cause a minor tear in his liver or stomach (not sure leh). So this result in the blood that he saw in his stools which is just a small problem but then he can't continue the high blood pressure pills which prove too strong for him.
So he discharged at around 4:45pm and we left for home.
Was quite tired after the stock take period on Sunday and Monday.... woh... finally its over....

Road to NUS 2008

Yes..... Received the letter from NUS offering me a place in Computer Engineering in 2008 after my NS. SO i'm on my way thru !! Since young have been hearing that going NUS or NTU was quite a tough try as your results must be good and the enrollment have been giving priority to JC students. But now i did it!! Ya Hoo.... Yeah i will work harder .... instead of slacking around as what i did in NYP... go go go!
